Hypericum hirsutum (Hairy St John's Wort)



A beautiful species which we are so fortunate to have in reasonable numbers within Dalton Crags (June/July). 

The species never seems to be far away from Hypericum perforatum (Perforate St. John's Wort)

Comparitive: leaf to stem

On the left both upper and lower is the Hypericum hirsutum (Hairy St. John's Wort) and on the right both upper and lower is the Hypericum montanum (Pale St. John's Wort) -
